*Minnetonka Choral Society Welcomes You!

A Tradition of Choir Music in the Twin Cities

Minnetonka Choral Society (MCS) traces its roots back to 1957 and has been a fixture in the Twin Cities’ choir music scene ever since. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of our members and the community through great choral music performance. We love to sing! And we love nothing more than singing to a full audience.

Our Music Director, Jere Lantz, selects our music especially for us. The music ranges from old masterworks such as Mozart and Haydn masses and Brahms’ Ein Deutches Requiem to more contemporary compositions such as Vaughan Williams’ Hodie and Copland’s In The Beginning, to works by modern composers or arrangers such as John Rutter, Dominick Argento, Stephen Paulus, and Jeffrey Van. With a sprinkling of Broadway classics, traditional folk songs from around the globe, and timeless carols, you’re sure to find new favorites!

Minnetonka Choral Society is a non-profit concert choir run entirely by its members who volunteer their time and talents. MCS performs two full concerts per year: a spring concert and a holiday concert. When we sing, it can be joyously loud accompanied by a full orchestra or deliciously soft a cappella. Maestro Lantz fills the space between songs with a brief discussion of the history and context of each piece, bringing an even deeper appreciation to the listener. So if you enjoy great music, we invite you to join us at one of our concerts.

We look forward to sharing beautiful music with you!
